Islam for Humanity: Points of Jasser Auda's Khutbah

Pesan beliau, "Do not forget the Quran my Brother and Sister after Ramadan..".

"...Islam is not only for Muslim, Islam is for humanity, Allah Swt said to Muhammad Saw inda al-Quran, wa maa arsalnaka illa kaaffatan lin nas, we have send you for all humanity, wa maa arsalnaka illa rahmatan lil 'alamin, we have send you as a mercy for the world. Muhammad Saw is not only for us, Muhammad Saw is for humanity. Humanity that look's for morality, for commitment and sincerity, for charity and values. Islam in Canada my Brother and Sister is practice as the system of values rather than a political ideology. Islam in Canada is practice as a moral system and faith rather than a culture and just a tired a name and a title to the other affiliation of nation."

"Ramadan is teaching us the system of values in Islam and the moral commitment that if we learn properly from Ramadan Islam will be part in Canada that we are celebrating."

"Ramadan is teaching us true objectives and purposes what is called in Islam, Maqasid. The maqasid of Ramadan are the why of Ramadan, why do we fast in Ramadan. We fasr first of all to achieve sincerity, because when you are alone nobody seeing you, you are still fasting, and you are not still eating and drinking. This growth sincerity and commitment integrity in your personality. This is something that is for humanity to practice, not just for Muslim to practice."

"Ramadan is a kind when the family is come together, the community is come together, and breakfast together. Ramadan is a time of community building, this is something for mankind to practice."

"Ramadan is a time of practice impassion and self control. The Muslim is not supposed to be addicted to anything, not addicted to food or drink or physical desire. Ramadan is a practice of not being addicted to anything and committing yourself to self controlling yourself from food and drink."

"Ramadan is a time for community cohesion, when you are thirsty and hungry is start to feel with humanity and growth compassion and sense charity. That is what many of our non muslim had recognise in Ramadan when they fasting with us, they said that their became more charitable and their hearts more became understanding of the suffering the people of the world."

"The moral lesson of Ramadan that Islam is not only for you (as a Muslim) as a ritual, Islam is for humanity to practice moral and faith commitment."

The last, "One of the way of Ramadan which is very important why do we celebrate Ramadan, because the Quran. Syahru ramadan alladzi unzila fihil Qur'an..., because al-Quran was revealed in Ramadan, but al-Quran is not only for Ramadan, listen into the Quran is not only for tarawih, and learn the Quran is not only during Ramadan, but for the rest of the year. Do not forget the Quran Brother and Sister after Ramadan...".
